Vendor Preparation Checklist

  1. General Presentation
  • Declutter all rooms (benches, floors, shelves)
  • Remove personal items (family photos, memorabilia)
  • Deep clean entire home (including windows, skirting boards, fans)
  • Eliminate odours (pets, smoke, cooking smells)
  • Ensure all light bulbs are working
  • Open curtains/blinds to maximise natural light
  1. Repairs & Maintenance
  • Fix leaking taps and toilets
  • Repair doors, handles, hinges, and locks
  • Patch and paint any damaged walls
  • Replace cracked tiles or damaged flooring
  • Ensure all appliances are in working order
  • Service air conditioning if needed
  1. Styling & Interior Touches
  • Use neutral tones where possible
  • Add fresh towels and linen
  • Make beds neatly with simple bedding
  • Add cushions or throws for warmth
  • Keep décor minimal and modern
  • Consider professional styling if needed
  1. Kitchen
  • Clear benchtops (leave minimal appliances only)
  • Clean oven, cooktop, and rangehood thoroughly
  • Empty and clean sink
  • Organise pantry and cupboards
  1. Bathrooms
  • Clean grout, mirrors, and glass
  • Remove excess toiletries
  • Add fresh towels
  • Ensure no mould or mildew
  1. Outdoor Areas
  • Mow lawns and edge gardens
  • Trim hedges and tidy landscaping
  • Remove weeds and dead plants
  • Clean outdoor furniture
  • Pressure wash driveways and paths if needed
  • Ensure pool/spa is clean and maintained
  1. Street Appeal
  • Clean front entry and door
  • Add a welcoming touch (e.g. plant or mat)
  • Ensure house numbers are visible
  • Tidy driveway and garage
  1. Photography & Home Opens Ready
  • Beds made and surfaces clear
  • Bins emptied
  • Pets removed or secured
  • Lights on and curtains open
  • Air conditioning/heating set to comfortable temperature
  • Final quick clean before each inspection
